How To Reach Diu
Reaching Diu is simple because it is connected by air, train, and road. If you want the fastest option, you can fly to Diu Airport. It is only about 2 km from the main town, so you can reach your hotel quickly. Most flights come from Mumbai, so you may need to connect through this city.
If you prefer trains, the nearest big station is Veraval Railway Station, which is around 88 km away. It has good connections to cities like Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Mumbai. From Veraval, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Diu. There is also the Delvada Railway Station, which is closer, but only a few trains stop there.
By road, Diu is well connected to Gujarat with two bridges. Both private and government buses run daily. The distance is about 370 km from Ahmedabad, 235 km from Rajkot, and 595 km from Vadodara. There is also a helicopter service between Daman and Diu, but it does not run every day.

Best Time To Visit Bhavnagar
The best time to visit Diu would be from October to March. In these months, the weather is quite good and favorable. The climate remains at a moderate level from 20°C to 30°C and is ideal for touring the city and spending time on its beaches. Moving about becomes very easy, and one can visit different places without being affected by the heat.
In August and September, Diu receives a bit of rainfall and appears neat and fresh. It is also less crowded, and one can avail oneself of low hotel charges. But the sea is turbulent during these months and poses a risk to swimmers.
From April to June, it is summer in Diu. The days are hot and humid, but evenings are better because of the sea breeze. If you visit in summer, plan outdoor activities in the morning or evening.
Beaches To Visit In Diu
Diu Beaches are clean and good for both relaxing and fun activities.
- Nagoa Beach is the most popular one. It has a curved shape and is safe for swimming. Tourists can enjoy water sports here, like parasailing and jet skiing.
- Ghoghla Beach is clean and less crowded. It has a Blue Flag certification, which means it follows safety and cleanliness standards. It is a nice place to relax.
- People know Jallandhar Beach for its clear and lovely sunset views. There is also a temple nearby, so many visitors stop here.
- Chakratirth Beach is quiet and peaceful. It is close to a war memorial and is good for spending a calm time.
- Gomtimata Beach has white sand and a calm environment. However, the water currents can be strong, so you should be careful.
